Summary

The Jackson Laboratory has recently expanded its human induced pluripotent stem cell (hiPSC) catalog—now featuring over 600 lines—with the addition of Tet-inducible neuron and microglia hiPSC lines based on the KOLF2.1J reference line. In this webinar, we will introduce a new xeno-free protocol for quickly differentiating hiPSCs into microglia using these lines. This powerful protocol opens up new possibilities for advanced disease modeling and speeds up drug discovery by offering reliable, scalable microglia models.

The presentation will cover:

  • Key optimized steps that enhance differentiation efficiency and reproducibility, with a focus on the Tet-inducible system for precise control of transcription factors
  • Strategies for incorporating these microglia into co-culture systems with NGN2-induced neurons to better model the complex cellular environment
