Summary
Engraftment of peripheral blood mononuclear cells from individual donors into S15-DKO mice provides a powerful platform to investigate patient-specific responses to immunotherapies. Dr. Kennedy is using this model to evaluate tri-specific killer engagers (TriKEs)—novel biologics designed to activate natural killer cells—in the settings of lupus and B cell lymphoma. By examining donor-to-donor variation in the elimination of malignant or pathogenic B cells, this work seeks to inform clinical development of natural killer cell–based therapies.
