Summary

Drug developers are now capable of manipulating the human immune system for therapeutic benefit using a wide range of unique cellular and molecular approaches. While inbred mice and in vitro assays provide proof of principle, platforms that support in vivo human immune cell development and function are critical for providing human-specific targets and uncovering the cellular and molecular interactions needed to model both efficacy and safety prior to clinical trials.

Join us for an overview of the immunobiology of humanized mice engrafted with human hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) and peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) and explore examples of how these platforms support preclinical evaluation of a wide range of immuno-oncology therapeutics.

In this webinar, we will explore:

  • Key differences between PBMC and CD34+ stem cell engraftment
  • Applications for PBMC and CD34 engrafted mice for immuno-oncology
  • Comparison of NSG* and NSG-MHC I/II DKO models for studying immune responses
